Wells Farm Dairy Limited statement re Coronavirus
Wells Farm Dairy is closely monitoring the impact of Coronavirus on our supply chain in order to continue to support our customers with uninterrupted supply. We are pleased to advise that we are able to continue operating under certain restrictions, due to actions taken by us and our suppliers to ensure safe and continuing supply.
We continue to monitor the updates and follow the advice of the Government generally and specifically Public Health England, NHS and the Foreign Office.
All our staff have been briefed on best practice in accordance with the guidelines from these bodies and will continue to be reminded and updated with any new advice that becomes available. We continue to stress the importance of hand washing, avoiding the touching of face, social distancing and not meeting others. We provide notices for staff at our sites along with hand sanitisers throughout our operational facility.
For those staff having leave for sickness noting symptoms of Coronavirus we are requiring 14 days of self-isolation. All members of staff returning to work following any absence are subject to return to work interviews to determine any members of staff who could be a risk.
It remains the case that to our knowledge no members of our staff have travelled to affected areas and we have no reports of any member of our staff with symptoms of Coronavirus.
We continue to restrict visitors to our sites and are requiring that suppliers making deliveries to our sites are able to confirm that their staff have not recently travelled to affected areas and are symptom free.
This situation is being kept under constant review and customers will be notified at the earliest opportunity of any disruption in their supply.
